Mel has been with Pacer Legal since 2012.

Her current practise is within the commercial law and estate planning / succession planning fields.

She also has extensive experience in managing litigation matters in the Magistrates, District and Supreme Courts of Western Australia, the Court of Appeal Division of the Supreme Court of Western Australia, the High Court of Australia and in the Federal Court of Australia.

In respect to this experience, Mel has particular expertise in defending equitable claims lodged against farming enterprises and in respect of claims made pursuant to the Family Provision Act 1972 (WA).

Mel had a leading role in the preparation of the Pacer Legal investigation report into the Esperance fires of November 2015. This report was funded by the Esperance community and was tabled in the Legislative Assembly of the Western Australian Parliament on 17 November 2016.

The outcome of the report was of particular interest to Mel, given her family’s background in farming in Cranbrook.

Outside of work, Mel enjoys travel and triathlons.
